A little bit about us...

Harrogate Online and Harrogate Vouchers is designed and run by Imyge Net, a Harrogate based web design company that started in 2003. One of our first in-house projects was to create HarrogateOnline.com as at the time there was no website that aimed it's information at local residents as well as visitors to the town. We have continually added new features to Harrogate Online but there came a point when we felt we had to come up with something new as there were more town information websites popping up.

So in December 2010 we made a start in developing HarrogateVouchers.co.uk. Our aim was to combine the strengths of an information site like HarrogateOnline with a measurable business tool that added value and footfall through direct vouchers. We started demonstrating the idea to businesses through January and February of 2011 and launched the site on 19th March 2011.

How the site works for the public...

The site is a subscription based website. Visitors can browse the site looking at brief information about all the vouchers in the site. However, they must register with a name and email address to get to the usable part of any voucher. This allows us not only to track activity on the site but also market back directly to peoples inbox through a weekly e-newsletter.

We also run a monthly competition where one of our advertisers supplies a prize that we publicise on the home page, login page and as the header of the e-newsletter. The competition is aimed at encourage new members and our existing members to recommend the site to friends.

How we market Harrogate Vouchers...

Newsletters - As already we mentioned we send a weekly newsletter to our subscribers to Harrogate Online and Harrogate Vouchers. This newsletter consists of 5 vouchers, 3 Harrogate Online advertisers, some banners ads for vouchers and a few local events running in the area.
Social Media - We also use social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook to our advantage as well. These sites are great for us as we can let people know about offers whilst they are on the go.
Local Events - Harrogate Vouchers loves to support local events and local charities. Through summer in an effort to raise our brand awareness we attend several fairs and fetes in the area. We have a stall and a larger than life Peppa Pig!! We help raise money on the day for the event to support their charity while encouraging visitors to sign up as subscribers to Harrogate Vouchers. We do not make a penny from this but we raise our profile while helping local causes.
Local Awareness - We also provide staff posters for companies to display to help their employees save money. We spend time in the town centre handing out flyers advertising the site and we even have two cars sign written with our logos and web addresses.

Our aim to build more than a just website. It is a communtiy led idea thats helps locals and visitors get the best out of local companies.

How the site works for your business...

We like you to have control over your offers and vouchers. All companies that use Harrogate Vouchers have the ability to add/edit/delete their own vouchers through an online admin panel. Whilst we are happy to change things for you if you want, having your own admin panel makes the process easier and quicker. you can also see how many times your offers have been viewed in the stats section.

How Harrogate Online fits in to the picture...

HarrogateOnline.com is our information site about Harrogate and the surrounding area. It holds information about local services, local events and has an extensive, searchable business directory. Local companies that use HarrogateOnline and HarrogateVouchers have a gold package entry on HarrogateOnline.
This means your company is listed in 6 business categories, has an extended entry on those category pages and has a profile page where your companies full information with images and logo can be displayed. And of course links through to your offers and vouchers on Harrogate Vouchers.
